How to prevent wear in precision parts processing?

Common wear types in precision parts processing mainly include running-in wear, hard particle wear, surface fatigue wear, thermal wear, phase change wear and hydrodynamic wear.

Running-in wear is the wear of machinery under normal load, speed and lubrication conditions. This kind of wear generally develops slowly and has little effect on the processing quality in the short term.

Hard particle wear is due to the abrasive particles dropped by the part itself or the hard particles entering the machine tool from the outside, mixed into the processing area, and subjected to mechanical cutting or grinding, causing damage to the parts, which has a serious impact on the processing quality.

The fatigue wear of the machined surface of Guangzhou precision parts is that under the action of alternating loads, the machinery produces tiny cracks or class-like pits, resulting in damage to the parts. This type of wear is usually closely related to factors such as pressure, load characteristics, parts material, and size.

Thermal wear is that the heat generated by the parts during the friction process acts on the parts, causing the parts to be tempered, softened, burned and wrinkled. This type of wear usually occurs in high-speed and high-pressure sliding friction, and the wear is more destructive and is accompanied by the nature of accidental wear.

Corrosive wear is a chemical action, that is, chemical corrosion causes wear. When the surface of the part is in contact with acid, alkali, salt liquid or harmful gas, it will be chemically attacked, or the surface of the part will combine with oxygen to form hard and brittle metal oxides that are easy to fall off and wear the parts.

Phase change wear is the wear of the parts when the parts work at high temperature for a long time. The metal grains on the surface of the parts are heated and become larger, and the surrounding of the grain boundaries are oxidized, resulting in small gaps, which make the parts fragile and wear resistance decreased, resulting in parts wear.
